Easy St. Patrick's Day Paper Wreath for Kids

I've seen many different versions of St. Patrick's Day wreaths online which gave me the idea to create a simple paper strip wreath that was so easy my toddler could make it.

In a matter of about 5 minutes, I had this craft set up. I cut some green and white paper strips and a length of string. Then I glued the strips into circles. (If your child is old enough, he/she could cut and glue the strips.)

Your child can put a sticker on some or all of the paper loops for added decoration.  (For some reason Pooky really only wanted to put the stickers on the green strips.  I guess her artistic side is coming out already.)

Next, have your child "thread" the string through each paper loop. Once they are all on the string, tie a knot. I also tied on a shamrock charm to hang down into the center of the wreath (optional). At this point, the paper wreath might look a little misshapen, but that's okay.  Find a place to hang it and then spread out the paper strips to give it more of a defined shape.

And there you have a super easy St. Patrick's Day Paper Wreath that's simple enough for toddlers and other young kids to make.
